Ayaan and Idyl Mohallim are the creators behind "MATAANO" which means twins in Somali. These two gorgeous Somali women are breaking barriers & boundaries with their clothing line. I wish these two ladies the best of luck, watch the video below to learn more about them.
This design is influenced by the "diraac", popular & traditional clothing of Somali women.
~"Yes. Definitely. We are greatly influenced by our Somali heritage. Growing up and being surrounded by beautiful women wearing colorful dresses. Africans love color and we can see how that influenced in our Spring 2009 designs." Ayaan & Idyl Mohallim
